With the Hub Mode in Controller for HomeKit, you can easily get notified when new mail arrives by using either a contact sensor or a motion sensor on your mailbox.
Start Event
Select the contact sensor mounted to your mailbox and specify "open" as the start event.
Alternative: Select a motion sensor and specify "motion detected" as the start event.
Steps
Add a "Send Notification" Step
Send a notification with the message: "📬 New mail has arrived!"
Add a Wait Step
Add a "Wait" step with a 2-minute delay to prevent multiple notifications if the mailbox is opened repeatedly within a short period.
Final Overview
Whenever your mailbox is opened (or motion is detected), you’ll immediately receive a notification informing you about your incoming mail. Afterward, the workflow will wait for two minutes before it can trigger again, avoiding duplicate alerts.
