With Charts, Controller 8.0 introduces long-awaited historical data to Apple Home. Instead of snapshots, the Controller Hub gives you ongoing access to how your devices change over time - across all brands.
You can explore long-term trends across a broad set of values - including temperature, humidity, battery level, motion detection, contact state, air quality metrics, power states and many more. Charts present these characteristics in a clear, unified way, making it easy to understand patterns, compare devices and spot changes that would otherwise go unnoticed.
Slide your finger over any chart to inspect individual values, view the last 24 hours directly in the device view or explore deeper insights in the new detail view with flexible time ranges. State-based accessories such as motion, contact or leak sensors use a clean status bar representation for their history.
Whether you’re optimizing heating, checking long-term humidity for plants or monitoring battery level, Version 8.0 provides actionable insight at a glance.
A New Era for the Controller Hub
After a year of real-world testing by thousands of users, the Controller Hub becomes a permanent part of Controller. Designed for reliability and power, it stores your historical device data and runs your workflows automatically.
Use an iPhone, iPad, Apple TV or Mac as your Hub. A new uptime chart shows availability and connectivity, so you always know how reliably your Hub is performing.
Smarter Workflows
Workflows in Version 8.0 gain more flexibility and new ways to interact with your home. You can now include spoken announcements using a text-to-speech step - ideal for short reminders, sensor readouts or helpful audio cues.

Controller Plus adds our most advanced capabilities: historical charts and automated workflows thanks to the Controller Hub. These features require continuous processing and infrastructure, and Controller Plus helps sustain that long term. This way, you only pay for what you truly use - saving money if you don’t need the extra power, while ensuring the Hub and its features can keep evolving for everyone who does.
